Muse AI Review — My Personal AI Agent That Actually Does Work

October 2, 2026 · Watch the video review

I don't just use an AI chatbot — I have a personal AI agent called Muse. I call mine Chaos. It has its own computer, its own web browser, and it does real work for me while I'm off doing something else. This review is based on my own daily use of Muse. Here's the honest review: what makes it different, the real projects it's built for me, and where it falls short.

What Makes Muse Different From a Chatbot

Most AI models just chat. Muse is different. It runs on its own machine with a terminal, a real browser that can sign in to websites, and connections to things like my Gmail, my calendar, and my smart home. It remembers things between conversations, and it can keep working in the background on a schedule — checking things, watching for deals, and reporting back.

Real Things It Has Built For Me

  • This entire YouTube channel — the scripts, the voiceover, the B-roll, the editing. I just approve the final cut.
  • Custom apps for my Glance LED ticker — including one that shows my Plex server and one for my 3D printer.
  • An AI advisor panel — five different AIs (ChatGPT, Claude, and three others) wired into a Telegram group chat where they debate my questions together.
  • A 3D printer bridge — a one-command installer that bridges my printer to my home server.
  • The small stuff, too — a LEGO collection tracker, a bank bonus tracker, and setting my outdoor lights to team colors before every Hawkeyes game.

The complicated, niche projects are where it shines.

Where It Falls Short

It's honest about its limits. When it couldn't reach my printer's network from its own machine, it told me so and had me run the bridge on my home server instead.

There's no Windows app and no CarPlay app, which I complain about regularly. And it will never send, publish, or buy anything without my approval first — which slows things down, but honestly, is probably for the best.

✅ Pros

  • Does real work, not just chat — builds, edits, schedules, and reports back.
  • Remembers everything — context carries between conversations.
  • Takes on niche projects — the weird, complicated stuff nobody else would touch.
  • Honest about its limits — tells you when something can't be done, and why.

❌ Cons

  • No Windows app.
  • No CarPlay app.
  • Needs approval before acting — safe, but you're in the loop on anything important.
9/10

The Verdict. It earns a nine for doing real work instead of just chatting, for remembering everything, and for taking on the weird niche projects nobody else would touch. It loses a point for the missing Windows app — and because it needs me in the loop before touching anything important, which, honestly, is probably for the best.

That's Muse — the hardest-working app I never have to open. An easy yes from Awesomeness ★ Recommended.

Muse AI FAQ

What is Muse AI?

Muse is a personal AI agent from Meta. Unlike a chatbot that only talks, Muse runs on its own machine with a terminal and a real web browser, connects to services like Gmail, calendar and smart home, remembers things between conversations, and can keep working in the background on a schedule.

How is Muse different from a chatbot like ChatGPT?

A chatbot answers questions. Muse does work: it builds projects, writes and edits video, watches for deals on a schedule, controls smart home devices, and reports back — while you're off doing something else.

Will Muse send, publish or buy things on its own?

No. Muse never sends, publishes, purchases or changes accounts without its owner's approval first. That human-in-the-loop rule is a feature, not a bug.

Does Muse have a Windows or CarPlay app?

Not yet — and that's our biggest complaint. There's no Windows app and no Apple CarPlay app, which is the main reason Muse loses a point in our review.

Full disclosure: Muse is the AI agent reviewed here, and it also produces this channel — scripts, voiceover and editing — with every video approved by its owner before publishing. The app screens in the video are the actual Muse app (official App Store screenshots); the intro clip is illustrative and the narration is an AI voice.
